GEMS, Global Employment and Mobility Support Ltd
Global Employment and Mobility Support Ltd was established in 2023 and we currently support clients in the Renewable Energy and Oil and Gas sectors.

We provide support to deliver international assignments, business travel compliance, establishing remote working or other policies and procedures across the spectrum of HR and Tax challenges.
​
Recent scopes have included establishing process and procedures to manage IR35 risk for UK employment tax as well as drafting policies and guidelines to support HR in the end-to-end global mobility and international assignments lifecycle.

We offer additional resource to supplement in-house teams during busy periods, for one-off projects or on an ad hoc consulting basis if you just need someone to call on as and when an query arises.
Global Employment and Mobility Support Ltd has lots of experience working with third party advisers and can support you with delivering the in-house aspects of managing outsourced services.
There is an option of flexible support packages from “as and when” ad hoc requirements, to one-off projects or more regular retained support for a few hours a week upwards.

After studying law in Aberdeen, I changed direction and joined a large consulting firm in London advising multinational businesses and providing International Assignment Services, specialising in tax aspects of global mobility programmes.

After 8 years, I decided to move to an in-house role where I covered the Global Mobility and Employment Taxes departments for a global energy services organisation in different leadership roles in the HR and Tax functions.

After a further 15 years spent working in-house, I am now working independently and providing consulting services to businesses operating in the energy sector where my skillset and broad experience supporting projects around the world can be used to help HR and Tax leaders in growing companies deliver their global mobility programmes and meet their employment tax challenges in a compliant way.
